As a second generation beekeeper, my journey into beekeeping started when I was a young boy watching my father and, at times, helping him when he would do his hive inspections at our home. He would keep a few hives around the house for pollination and to provide a few jars of honey for family and friends.
I always knew I wanted to keep bees at some point in my life but family obligations and a different career path put this on hold. Then during the Pandemic of 2020, I, like others, had additional time on my hands, so I purchased a package of bees and quickly saw that I wanted to keep bees and grow my knowledge into how to take care of them. What went from a fascination has turned into a passion!
Because of this passion, what started with one hive in my backyard has now grown into Davis Backyard Bees, a family owned business located in King, NC dedicated to producing honey naturally the way God intended it to be. Simple, raw, unfiltered honey that is not only delicious tasting but healthy for you and your family.
